Meet Andi:

Beginning therapy is a big step, but an important one that can make a huge difference in a person's life. Andi prioritises creating a safe and welcoming space and loves to connect with each individual in a supportive and empathetic way. She understands the impacts of systemic, contextual, and cultural factors, and how these factors uniquely influence each one of us.

Andi is influenced by Humanistic and Attachment-based approaches. She believes in a collaborative approach where the client is the expert on their life. She is passionate about working with trauma and understands the lasting impact it can have on our lives. In session, she will often examine past experiences and the relationships with important people in our lives, looking at how these relate to current patterns. Andi also values creating change in the present moment and is passionate about helping her clients reach their current goals.

Andi is completing her Master of Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University. She holds a Child and Youth Work Degree from Humber College (Honours), a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Honours), both from Wilfred Laurier University.

She is a single mother of two young children and knows how challenging life stress and transitions can be. She has experienced childhood trauma and wishes to help others find recovery and healing so that they can experience positive change.
