He uses a variety of therapies specific to client needs including: Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioural Therapies, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Chris's Profile:

He believes each person holds intrinsic value and inherent wisdom drawn from their lived experience. As such, he aims to facilitate a collaborative therapeutic space honouring client’s stories, ensuring their safety, and recognizing paths to wellness.

From the foundation of a trauma informed, anti-oppressive therapeutic environment, Chris employs a variety of modalities including Narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Emotionally Focused therapy, Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour therapy, Solution Focused therapy, and mindfulness work. His approaches are further informed by a variety of theoretical frameworks including attachment theory, family systems, grief and loss, and spiritually integrated psychotherapy.

Chris holds an MA in Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care from Wilfrid Laurier University.

He has experience working in clinical settings providing therapeutic support for patients and families experiencing acute mental health crises, life limiting illnesses, end of life care, spirituality/faith concerns and substance abuse and recovery. He also has extensive experience supporting and advocating for persons and families living with the label of disability.
