Meet Heather:

Heather strives to create a therapeutic space that is open, accepting, and warm so clients feel comfortable in exploring their emotions and any life challenges they're facing. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve their counselling goals through a collaborative approach, placing the client as the expert in their own life.

Heather centres her practice around the use of modalities like narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and strength-based therapy to focus on the client and place them at the center of their healing. She employs the use of trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centred frameworks to support her counselling work.

Heather has experience in providing individual counselling to adults and older adults in end-of-life care and hospice settings as well as previous work in mental health. She has supported a wide range of individuals, including those at end-of-life, recently bereaved, caregivers, and those facing other mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, stress management, life transitions, body image concerns and self‑esteem issues.
