She utilizes an integrated strategy of therapies including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Spiritual Psychotherapy and Narrative Therapy.

When clients first connect with Heidi, they are met with compassion and warmth. Heidi believes reaching out for counseling is a courageous first step in each person’s healing journey towards wholeness, self-discovery and positive relationships. Heidi’s approach to therapy is hope-filled and encouraging. She believes that assisting clients in unraveling their thoughts and understanding their emotions is essential for growth and healing.
Heidi graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy, and from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her past work has included working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic pain, grief and loss, meaning making, guilt and shame and navigating spirituality.
Heidi is particularly excited about walking alongside clients navigating relationships with their partner, children, parental figures, coworkers or friends. Heidi has worked extensively with parents learning attachment skills, while fostering self-awareness, emotional regulation skills, resilience and self-compassion. Knowing the importance of a sense of belonging, Heidi feels passionate about creating space for her clients to foster healing and growth in their relationships.
Heidi provides a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy while being intuitive of incorporating several psychotherapeutic modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. She recognizes the importance of assisting clients in deepening insight, as well as empowering clients with concrete skills and strategies to deal with life challenges.
