Professional Designation: Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Post-Graduate certificate in Concurrent Disorders.

Insurance Information: Covered by most insurance plans. Check your benefits for Registered Psychotherapist (RP) coverage. Supervising therapist's license information will be provided for the claim process. We offer receipts for reimbursements.

Her approaches: Kelly likes to meet her clients where they are at in their journey and tailor treatment approaches to best suit each individual’s needs. She is passionate about client-centered work, and works from a trauma-informed treatment lens. She draws from a few different theoretical orientations which guide her work today, such as Cognitive-Behavioural, solution-focused interventions as well as mindfulness-based, emotion-focused and narrative techniques. Given her background in Concurrent Disorders, she is also able to assist individuals in their recovery by recognizing their stage of change and working from a harm reduction approach.

Meet Kelly:

Kelly’s hope is to be able to build strong, genuine therapeutic connections with the clients she collaborates with, in order to create a safe, trusting environment where the individuals feel heard and acknowledged. She appreciates that life throws curve balls, and she is dedicated to empowering and encouraging clients to push through these challenges to overcome them. By allowing clients to guide their own treatment, she seeks to meet them where they are at in their path to wellness and provide a space where they can recognize their own strengths, and flourish to live their best possible lives.

She works from a trauma-informed, person-centered lens and utilize specific interventions such as CBT, DBT, Solution-focused therapy, EFT and narrative techniques. She also work’s from a harm-reduction lens and can tailor treatment to help individuals in their recovery from substance use.

Kelly graduated from Wilfred Laurier University with a degree in Psychology. Soon after, pursued her passions in Addictions and received a graduate certificate in Concurrent disorders. She is excited to work with individuals who experience anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, ADHD, grief and loss, life transitions, substance use, and support couples experiencing relationship concerns and divorce.
