Meet Rachel:

All of us (without exception!) need the caring support and non-judgmental compassion of others and too many of us have depleted our resources trying to do too much alone. Our lives get complicated, and we can’t always gain the perspective we need with our friends and family. Whatever you’re facing or feeling, bring that to me and we can carry it together; I am ready to create a space that’s entirely yours.

I lean on a humanistic approach that places you at the center of all we’ll do together. I’ve studied Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Queer Theory, Intersectionality, and Attachment Theory which is applied to relational issues of all kinds. I honour multiple ways of knowing, identifying, and learning. I have experience and training in Addiction and Recovery, Depression and Anxiety, Loss and Grief, falling and getting back up.

As a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community who identifies as human above all, I bring a wealth of maturity and insight to my practice and to your journey. Passionate about growth through adversity, and the power of collaboration, we will sift through your challenges in order to find hope and healing. I am here to help you discover the patterns, goals, and solutions that are present in your life today.

In a therapeutic setting trust is important – we will build trust together at your speed. Lament is important – moving through pain includes honouring that pain. Humour is important – therapy can include release and joy. Your desire for change is important – we can explore the meaning and hope you bring to change in your life.

Start your healing journey with Rachel today.
