Rochelle is an open-minded, compassionate individual who takes a genuine and curious approach to the therapeutic relationship. Rochelle understands the importance of being able to show up, fully and completely as yourself in this space, so that you can feel accepted and supported in the growth and expansion of your true, authentic self. She is passionate about moving with you towards a more connected, aligned and fulfilling life.
Rochelle truly values the power of relationships and often invites exploration around the ways in which relationships shape who we are and how we show up in the world. She holds a strong belief that many of our seemingly ‘unhelpful’ behaviours were developed as adaptative responses to our environment and lived experiences. Rochelle feels humbled and honored to have the opportunity to support you in making lasting shifts in both your internal and interpersonal patterns that leave you feeling stuck.
Both her Master of Social Work degree and Bachelor of Arts, Psychology degree were completed at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has experience supporting individuals and couples in relationship issues, life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, disconnection, existential concerns and attachment issues.
Rochelle believes that it is extremely important to explore this kind of work with someone that feels accepting, safe and ultimately, feels like the right fit for you. Her client-centered approach is largely grounded in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (for couples). She also draws from other approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Techniques and always incorporates a trauma-informed lens.
She looks forward to connecting with you and getting curious about how we can make this space, time and relationship as helpful for you as possible.
