Insurance Coverage Details

Counselling with a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker is usually covered by a majority of insurance plans. We have worked with clients who were covered by Manulife, Sun Life, Great-West life, Green Shield, Blue Cross and other insurance companies. Students at the University of Guelph, University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University can also take advantage of our counseling services as they are covered by their student benefits.

Each insurance company has different policies and so it’s hard to determine which plans cover what. To find out if your insurance plan covers therapy services, you can:

• Contact your insurance company to confirm if you are covered for counseling/therapy with a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker
• Look on your insurance company’s benefits online to find out if their is coverage on counseling with a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker
• Email your HR representative to find out if your benefits include counseling/therapy with a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker

Payment for counselling services is due at the end of every session. A receipt will be given when payment is received. Please retain this receipt for your insurance or income tax claims, if applicable. Fees for Registered Psychotherapy or Registered Social Worker may be reimbursable by your extended health benefits. Please contact your insurance company to confirm your available coverage per year.
