Hello! I am Hari Chettiar. I practice as a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) in Guelph, Ontario. I am experienced in supporting clients with managing their anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, relationship issues, and parenting support.
I recognize that finding a therapist that fits for your needs can be challenging. In your counselling sessions with me, you will have an opportunity to have a safe and non-judgement space where you can work through your concerns.
Individual psychotherapy can be helpful for reducing anxiety, dealing with depression, managing anger, overcoming addiction, parenting, and working through conflict in relationships. Whether you need short-term or long-term support to work through your concerns, I can guide you through the healing process and offer helpful strategies to manage the emotional distress.
Couples therapy can be useful for couples that are looking to resolve conflict that has been affecting their relationship. I support couples by helping them identify negative patterns in their communication and work towards changing these patterns so that each partner feels supported by the other.
To make psychotherapy more accessible for individuals and couples, I also offer services via phone and video. For clients that are unsure if they want to meet a therapist face-to-face, this option can serve as an alternative. The effectiveness of phone and video counselling depends on your presenting concerns. In our initial session, we will be able to judge if this would be a good fit for you.
